Are you interested in assisting in solving the climate change issues? Would you like to live in a place where you had a definite feeling of community and you can be sure that you are living a sustainable lifestyle?

The EcoVillage Education Institute (EVEI) main goal is to educate the public of the fact that humanity faces major problems on a global scale. Consumption and waste are depleting natural resources, threatening our ecosystems, and affecting global climate change.

Social isolation and alienation are endemic. Most people are unaware of the extent of these issues or how they interrelate. Not only does society need more information on these issues, it needs models for how people can live that are ecologically sustainable, economically just, and socially satisfying.

EVEI is a 501(c)3 nonprofit developed as a forward looking organization that will initially operate assisting projects throughout the US to develop co-housing net Zero housing properties.

EVEI will educate the public on these issues by organizing and hosting workshops, seminars, presentations, and providing learning experiences for all ages. We will assist in the research and development of options for the sustainable development of communities, including such issues as energy generation, waste-water treatment, food production, building techniques, landscape architecture. We will also provide support in the development and implementation of cooperation organizing structures and principles, conflict resolution, and training in cooperative decision-making models.

EcoVillage Education Institute’s (EVEI) first project is to assist EcoVillage Charlottesville ┬áin developing their project in Charlottesville. This project will include 30-40 homes at 480 Rio Rd E, Charlottesville. Phone Joanie @ (434) 987-1026 or email freeman.joanie@gmail.com.
